| VISION: Turning High-Impact innovative ideas into redemptive enterprises that
can change planet earth for good!
MISSION: Identifying and empowering innovative leaders in order to collaboratively create high impact faith-based enterprises locally and globally. |
John Henderson, Founder and CEO Copernicus had an idea (the sun , not the earth was the center of the solar system) that nobody got, at first. A few early adopters, like Galileo, saw the value of his ideas and built upon them -under the pressure of an irrational resistance- into enterprises ( creative inventions with specific applications) that changed the planet… for Good! For some reason the greater government, religious and business community was not in favor of these new ideas and all those who championed them and did everything they could to ‘kill them in the womb’. Galileo and a handful of hopeful leaders in the scientific world persisted under great persecution. Then, with Galileo’s timely invention of the telescope in 1609, he received the funding and the international leverage to sustain Copernicus’ ideas and turn them into enterprises that ushered in our modern capacity for flight and space travel… This example reverberates throughout the history of discoveries in the physical sciences as well as the social sciences, however the social sciences are more difficult to measure and thus there is even more skepticism that abounds. Charles Murray in his book, Human Accomplishment: The Pursuit of Excellence in the Arts and Sciences, 800 B.C. to 1950 attempts to measure the factors that create the environment for innovative leaders with creative ideas for the greater social good to emerge and flourish for the benefit of everyone. Planet Ventures attempts to gather the most innovative and courageous leaders in the social sciences (including the best faith-based approaches ) to turn the best ideas into dynamic enterprises that can produce a triple bottom line profit (economic, social and spiritual) for the good of the community and country in which they develop. Synergies of the business, government and community leadership are sought to create high impact. In a globalized world, these ideas and their successful enterprises can change your world… you can only Imagine! Check out the following links that mark out more clearly how Copernicus/Galileo did it and also a clarion call for action with the Planet Ventures Manifesto Initiatives. |
