Abrahamic Peace Initiatives

THE PROBLEM: It is clear that the future of the planet belongs to the youth of each country or ethnic entity who must find ways to ‘find their voice’ based on a knowledge that leads to understanding and then wisdom -the creative and beautiful use of that hard won knowledge with understanding.

Current Media analysts are traditionally stuck on a adversarial, consciously or unconsciously partisan, series of diatribes that add more heat than light as they employ the  debate style of our overly legal society. In this approach, people concede nothing as they use the time they are not talking to conjure up a counter argument as they stop listening and understanding the other party.

A new path of Dialogue has been described, by Daniel Yankelovich in his recent  The Magic of Dialogue  as imperative for breakthrough understanding among and between and increasingly diverse population that is living closer and closer together through the shrinkage of satellite television.

It is founded on the peacemaking ‘technology’ that is found in the word revered by the  house of Abraham in the connected revelations of the Old Testament , the New Testament and the Koran.

Towards this end a strategic group of faith-based scholars , authors and community activities gathered to create , sponsor, promote and perpetually improve upon a series of dialogue opportunities sponsored by strategic universities all over planet earth beginning in the US , first in Washington DC and then fanning out throughout the country.

Each experience of the Abrahamic Peace Initiatives will seek to engage the college youth in a consortium of local and global activity that will shape the dialogues that will create a movement for Just War and a Just Peace in all parts of the world. Morever, with the increased listening and understanding the subsequent better communication will lead to strategic gestures of empathy and genuine love that will cast out all fear, and create the environment that produce a greater good for all people of the planet.

Vision: Promoting peace among the youth population through the understanding, admiration and implementation of the Abrahamic covenants for the benefit of all.

Mission: To create a dynamic series of strategic dialogues among the student population of the planet emerging through dialogue founded on the common ground of the  Abrahamic covenant in order to create an adult mentored/youth sponsored wisdom approach to problems that will bless  the Middle East and  the whole world.

Strategy: Develop friendships as the idea for the Abrahamic Peace Initiative is shaped and takes the form of a viable seminar to be marketed locally and globally
